Controlling Hydra in killifish shoeboxes
« on: April 29, 2008, 12:12:13 PM »

I have found hydra in my shoeboxes. What the best way to control them? I removed the fish and rinsed the box and refilled it and placed in a Asolene Spixis snail which ate up the ones that were left. I don't see any more and the fish don't look stressed like before.

There are several chemical treatments you can use - Clout and Fluke Tabs work well as does Flubendazole. My preference is Fluke Tabs which you can buy from the ARK store.
